Meet SANJAY NARAYAN !

Sanjay is a Customer Support Executive at Tummoc. He works on providing quick resolutions, and responses to customers over calls, email and on WhatsApp.

“I was born and brought up in Bangalore, and I’ve spent most of my life here so far. All my life, I’ve felt like I’ve been a free car without a proper road to drive on.

I completed my schooling in 2016, and after that, I wanted to pursue law, archaeology, or something along those lines. Unfortunately, my family didn’t approve of me doing that, and I had no one to guide me in that direction.

So, without another option in sight and with plenty of confusion, in 2016, I enrolled for a diploma in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. Somehow I made it those three years, and since I had already jumped into the river, there was no option but to cross it — so, I joined BMSCE for Engineering. As I started studying and working on projects, I became more sure than ever that it was just not my cup of tea.

Soon, I lost my grandmother, and I was considering dropping out of Engineering because I saw no other hope. That’s when a friend of mine from college approached me. His name is Nitish Kumar Singh, and he’s no less than a mentor to me. He guided me to come out of all the instability and lack of clarity. He sat down and explained and advised me on everything.

He spoke to me about building a proper career, and I actually felt that he made a lot of sense. So, as per his suggestion, I enrolled in some online courses to further upskill. I also had time, so I decided to do an internship. A friend of mine took note of my communication skills and suggested an internship at Tummoc as a customer support intern so that I could also learn how tech companies work on the go.

For the first time, I felt like I did something right when I joined Tummoc. It was the first time I was meeting so many new people at a time and I’m really grateful to Vrushali Wagh for giving me this opportunity and identifying that I would be good at a customer support role. I’m also grateful to Aashi Soni for guiding me with my work.

Everyone here is no less than a family.

Being a part of a fast-growing startup like Tummoc is guiding me in various aspects. As Tummoc grows, I feel like I’m growing too. It’s been two months now, and I’m really grateful to each and every member of #TeamTummoc #HumansOfTummoc
