Rishav Agarwal’s #CommuteKahani
“The year was 2016. We had a semester break, so I was heading back home to Asansol. I reached Chennai Central railway station with my friends about two hours before my train. So, we had some time to kill.
We sat around, got some food, and just hung out. With me, I had my luggage, and along with it a backpack with my laptop, all my original documents, educational certificates, and original ID cards. I kept it by my side the whole time while we were eating on a bench.
Time went by so fast. When it was almost time for the train, we headed to our platform.
Just as I was approaching the train, suddenly, I realized that something was missing. My backpack wasn’t on my back!
And then, as if my life depended on it, I ran! I ran faster than I had ever run before. It was as if I had channelled my inner Milkha Singh or Usain Bolt. Losing that backpack would not only cost me my laptop but all my original documents too.
And then, whether it was fate or luck — my bag was exactly where I had left it. I let out the biggest sigh of relief and was on my way.”
And that’s Rishav Agarwal’s mini #CommuteKahani!
