Meet Rhea Mansukhani!

Rhea is a content writer that works with Tummoc.

“When I was little, I wanted to grow up to be a chef & write my own cookbook. Today, I’m a writer who spends a lot of time cooking & trying out new foods. I’m sure my 5-year-old self would be okay with the compromise.

I was born & brought up in Bangalore, but my family & I moved to Pune for six years when I was in school. We moved back to Bangalore after I finished my 12th boards. I joined St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous) to pursue my Bachelor’s in Literature, Journalism & Psychology.

In my second year of college, I joined a company called Jack of all Threads as a Marketing Executive. I interned with them for six months. It was during this time that I realised how much I enjoyed marketing. But, nothing could beat my love for writing. Deep down inside, I dreamt of following in the footsteps of my grandmother & great-grandfather & becoming a writer.

Soon after graduating, I enrolled in a digital marketing course so I could combine my love for writing & marketing. I also interned at the institute & joined them full-time once the course was complete.

I had always done projects on the side, but I took the leap & left my full-time job to become a full-time freelancer. Before I knew it, I was collaborating with another Digital Marketing institute to create courses on content writing. I worked with them as a freelancer for two years, before finally joining them full-time in 2020. I was associated with the institute for almost three years & had the opportunity of training over 200 students in content writing.

However, towards the end of 2020, I realised that I was so busy taking classes, managing my team or editing content that I wasn’t actually doing any writing myself. I knew I needed to get back on track. So, I took the call of going back to freelancing.

Some of my old clients came back to me & I’m so grateful to them. Plus, thanks to LinkedIn, new enquiries started coming in. One sunny afternoon in April, I received a message that Tummoc was looking for a content writer. Within 48 hours, I began creating content for them.

Over the last two years, I’ve been trying to live a more conscious, sustainable life. Tummoc aligns with that journey because it encourages a more eco-friendly commute.

The Team at Tummoc never fails to make me feel welcome. Despite being a freelancer, I truly feel like I am a member of Team Tummoc. I remember the first time I spoke one-on-one with Monalisha. We ended up talking for hours at a stretch. It was the first of many great conversations.

It’s been so wonderful working with the founders Monalisha, Hiranmay & Narayan. I regularly interact with Vineeta, Mayank & Devang too & they’re all such great, talented people to work with.

It’s been wonderful working with Tummoc so far & I look forward to being a part of all the great things to come.”
