Meet Naveen ! He’s responsible for creating visuals & motion graphics for our Marketing & Growth team.

“I’ve always sensed creativity within me. And so has my dad — in the way that I talk, the things I do. He’s been nothing but supportive.

Around 8th grade, I saw the Disney Intro while watching an animated film, my dad explained how animation was done back in the day, with people drawing each frame & then moving these frames to create a video. Soon, I began creating flip book animations in any notebook I could get my hands on.

Later, I was introduced to the amazing world of computer animation & was overwhelmed with curiosity. I began watching tutorials on Youtube & experimenting with animation.

I had a take-it-easy attitude & hadn’t faced any major challenges. However, when it was time to look for colleges after my 12th boards, reality hit hard. I looked for colleges that offered creative courses that led me down the path I dreamt of. Unfortunately, due to the reservation system, despite scoring 92% in my board exams, I couldn’t get into any of those colleges.

It was a tough time for both my family & me. We looked for alternatives. Due to time constraints, I opted for a BSc in Visual Communications at SRM IST, Kattankulathur. I didn’t really want to go there, but it was my last resort.

Surprisingly, it turned out to be the greatest decision of my life — the three years I spent there were filled with unforgettable memories, valuable life lessons & plenty of learning. I worked hard to improve my motion graphics skills by doing projects for friends & acquaintances.

In March 2020, I graduated, and, as we all know, that’s when the pandemic hit. People were forced to stay home, many lost jobs & I was trying to figure out my game plan. A friend of mine, Sarvesh, advised me to try freelancing. He guided me through it — he’s the kind of guy who goes all in to ensure everything he touches turns to gold. I always find myself looking up to him for inspiration.
I freelanced for two years — things were going well. However, I wanted to start going out, connecting with new people & exploring more. While looking for full-time jobs, I stumbled upon Tummoc.

I’ve been here for two months now & it’s been such a great experience. I’ve gotten to know and learn from some amazing people.

The best part about working at Tummoc is how everyone makes you feel included. The work culture encourages independence, expression & team work.

I’d like to thank Monalisha for believing in me. Every time she invites me to her office to talk, I leave with plenty of insights & inspiration to grow professionally & otherwise.

I’m incredibly grateful for the unconditional support of my parents and my brother, Aswin

Outside of work, I’m quite the foodie & explorer. I love to cook, play/watch cricket & watch films & series. I also enjoy spending time with my friends, exploring new places & having meaningful conversations.”
