Meet Narayan Mishra — Tummoc’s Chief Technology Officer!
Along with Hiranmay Mallick & Monalisha Thakur, he’s part of Tummoc’s dream team of founders.
“I began my career at PharmARC Analytic Solutions as a Software Developer. Since I was a newbie in the real world of technology, I found it quite overwhelming at first. That’s when I decided to always keep learning and upskilling. It’s something I follow to date.
From there, I moved on to work at Thomson Reuters as an Analyst. Here, I was exposed to the nuances of FinTech. The quality of my research data benchmarked at around 99%. That’s when my managers asked me to be a SPOC for running quality information for the team as well as the entire department. I was also given the opportunity to work with leaders from across the globe.
Next, I joined a Tech startup that looked into end-to-end product delivery. Here, I conceptualized a profitable solution for the company which went on to become their flagship product & helped enterprises save millions of dollars.
After that, I briefly worked at Times Group, which is where I met Hiranmay Mallick. He was my manager at the time. When he spoke to me about creating a commute solution for India, I was more than intrigued. Before I knew it, I ended up joining Tummoc (Bykerr then) as a co-founder.
The idea resonated with me quite a bit because I grew up in the buzzing city of Mumbai. I’ve spent a lot of time on the city’s local trains — I know what commuters need, the problems they face. It’s great being a part of something that can help other commuters like me.
And what a journey it’s been so far! Exploring the unseen, constantly flexing my tech muscles, learning, falling (and getting right back up), transforming vague ideas into tangible solutions. I’ve even had the opportunity to co-author patents in the mobility domain for Tummoc. Most importantly, creating something that will make a difference to society.
There are some people who’ve played a big role in making me who I am today. Let me start with my wife, Abha Chaturvedi. She’s supported me through ups & downs and pushed me to pursue my dreams. My parents are a blessing — they motivate me to do more & be better. Gaurav Banerjee and other friends have acted as pillars of support who stand tall no matter what, through thick & thin. Not to forget all the Friday nights they’ve sponsored ;)
Finally, my mentors. My uncle, Bijay Mishra, who is a senior IT professional at Intel, has always been there to direct me, give me answers when I’ve needed them, and inspire me to dream big. And Hiranmay Mallick, who believed in me, backed up my wildest ideas, and even critiqued me to bring out the best version of myself.”
