Meet Abha Chaturvedi!
She is a Senior Software Engineer at Tummoc.
“Born & raised in the city of Mumbai, I come from a background of cosmopolitan culture. Different religions & ethnicities, the sweetness of hearing multiple languages around — I have been fortunate enough to have had a vibrant exposure.
Apart from my alma mater, my parents & grandparents have played a pivotal role in moulding me into who I am today. Believing in one’s self & having an optimistic approach to life have been ingrained in me through the people that matter the most!
I have always found myself inclined towards arts, crafts & creativity. Don’t be surprised if you come across my school notebooks with pencil sketches adorning the last pages.
However, the technical side of me got me into the field of engineering which I am now pursuing as a full-time profession. I had the opportunity to complete my B.E. degree in the culturally rich city of Pune. This place not just laid the foundation for my career but also gave me a chance to interact with students from across the country. Coming back to Mumbai, I worked briefly & then went on to pursue & complete M.Tech. degree with flying colours.
The course of my career has always been influenced by work that creates an impact. My first stint in the field of software development opened the doors for a rewarding career. I have worked for startups, service as well as product companies contributing to multiple application development projects.
Each environment has contributed to shaping me as a professional. Developing a preventive healthcare mobile application for Genecorp, an early-stage startup, helped me grow as an individual contributor. I obtained rich exposure in the initial period of my career. I moved on to work Rebel Foods (Formerly Faasos) where I learned the nuances & the technical processes of working with a team of software professionals. Here, I worked on the revamp of Faasos Android application.
Post marriage, I moved from Aamchi Mumbai to Namma Bengaluru, India’s silicon valley! I had a wonderful experience working with new technologies at SpurTree Technologies. My mentor Naveen Ganapathy pushed me to give my best & explore unchartered territories.
While I continued working for other organisations, I used to discuss & brainstorm with my husband, Narayan Mishra about Tummoc. Little did we know that I would soon become a part of the team!
I have experienced the commute issues firsthand especially that a new person faces, having lived in different cities. A product that can solve these issues, provide hassle-free commute options and ease out the end-to-end travelling process has been the need of the hour.
It’s a privilege to work with Hiranmay Mallick and Monalisha Thakur in making the product beneficial for the masses. Along with the team, I look forward to making the lives of people around us easier, one step at a time!”
