Meet Aashi!
Aashi is a Quality Assurance Engineer at Tummoc. She looks after end-to-end testing of the Tummoc app.
“I grew up in Raipur and was there till I completed my BCom in 2015. Soon after graduating, I moved to Nagpur to pursue my Master’s in Computer Management.
Being the youngest in my family, I had always been surrounded by lots of love and care. This was the first time I was living away from family. Living in a hostel with all sorts of rules and regulations was a big change. Plus, switching from commerce to computers meant I had to work really hard.
I gave it my best and before I knew it, I grew a keen interest in Java. I decided that I wanted to become a Java developer. However, when I finished an internship as a software tester, it was challenging to find promising opportunities to learn and grow.
I moved past the disappointment and took on a teaching job at Podar Institute of Education in Raipur in 2019. Even though the experience was wholesome and I was doing well, I knew teaching wasn’t for me.
So, I started to look for something that was more up my alley. And as fate would have it, Tummoc was hiring a QA Engineer. Of course, I grabbed the opportunity.
It’s been a few months now, and I’m so grateful to be working alongside an amazing team every day. I’m especially grateful to Narayan, Hiranmay and Monalisha for believing in me, and for giving me this wonderful opportunity.
I’d also like to thank Vrushali, Abha and Vijay for their constant support.
Not to forget, I’m blessed that my family has stood by me through everything, supporting my every endeavour. I’ve always looked up to how hard-working my parents are.
My dad has been working hard every day for over 30 years now. His work ethic is extraordinary. He’s an intellectual, and I think I got that from him.
My mom is a District Minister of Mahila Morcha and the President of our Soni community at a state level. She spends most of her time working, or engaging in social work. She’s well-spoken and high-spirited, and most importantly, she’s an inspiration to me.
I’m also extremely grateful and proud of my sister, (ACS) Shubhangi and my brother-in-law, Vikrant Sahoo. She’s a successful company secretary and he’s a senior developer at Zurich North America.
Outside of work, I’m the kind of person who loves to explore new skills, hobbies and interests. Whether it’s being creative through art and music or learning new skills — I’m always up to something.
All around me, there are people to learn from, and milestones to work towards. And that’s what keeps me on my path of learning and growth. ”
