Last week we gave you a few recommendations for things to do in Koramangala. This week, we’re looking at another happening area in Bengaluru — Indiranagar! This once quiet, green, residential area is now always buzzing with activity. The best part is that if you walk around the lanes of Indiranagar even now, you’ll still find peace and plenty of greenery to take in. But, if you come back out to the main roads, it’s bustling even on the weekdays.

Here are our top five recommendations for things to do when you’re in Indiranagar:

#1 Work @ Indiranagar
If you’re looking for a quiet café to work out of, Indiranagar has plenty of options for you. Third Wave Coffee Roasters has one branch on CMH Road and one on 12th Main Road. This Bangalore chain is a favourite, especially among working professionals. Pro Tip: Download their app and make the most of their referral programme!

If you’d like a more peaceful vibe to work in, you have to go to Yogisthaan, a café that somehow makes life seem simpler. Enjoy some wholesome, healthy treats while you’re here.

Finally, you could also work out of Indiranagar Social for Rs 300/day on the week (fully redeemable) on the weekdays. The ambience is cosy, and they have longer membership plans that can be used at any branch.

#2 Equilibrium Climbing Station
Have you ever gone wall climbing? No? Then you have to, now! Yes? Then you know how fun it is! You can make a day out of going climbing with your friends and then eating or grabbing a drink at one of Indiranagar’s many haunts. You can get a day pass for yourself and get access to the facilities for the day. They also offer climbing courses and rock climbing trips.

#3 Shopppp
Indiranagar is a shopper’s paradise. Wherever you walk here, you’re going to find places to shop at. From home decor to clothing — you’ll find it all. Keep in mind that this area is not too much about street shopping. It has well-known brands, standalone stores, boutiques and more. You’ll find the bigger names on 100ft Road and CMH Road. After exploring these, we’d suggest walking around the lanes of Indiranagar, and you’ll definitely find unique, quaint little stores.

#4 Grab a bite
Every time you go to Indiranagar, you’ll find a new restaurant or bar. There are so many options to choose from, you’ll never run out. If you have a sweet tooth, you must try Lavonne, Magnolia Bakery, Kawaii, Glen’s Bakehouse, or Corner House. Note that the Indiranagar branch of Corner House also serves vegan ice cream.

If it’s a meal you’re looking for, we’re going to give you options across unique cuisines. Eat Thai at Thai Basil, Burmese at Burma Burma, Vietnamese at Phobidden Fruit, Sushi at Lucky Chan, Italian at Chianti, and Kashmiri at Sarposh.

And for really great burgers, head to Truffles. The Pizza Bakery and Brik Oven are our recommendations for delicious pizzas.

#5 Bar Hopping
And finally, Indiranagar is known for its nightlife and an extremely wide variety of bars and pubs. We’ll give you our top recommendations.

You must visit Bob’s Bar. It is a simple bar with local food from around Karnataka, and it’s always (and we mean ALWAYS) packed. It’s one of the few budget-friendly favourites in Indiranagar.

Other popular pubs and bars that you can hit on your crawl are Toit, Doff Pub, Three Dots & A Dash, 1131, Tipsy Bull, Pecos Stones, Watson’s, and Indiranagar Social. There are plenty of others, but these are just our personal recommendations.

If you’re wondering how to get to Indiranagar, it’s pretty well-connected. You can get off Namma Metro at the Indiranagar Metro station, or take a bus. Find details of the metro or buses on the Tummoc app! You can also book yourself a BMTC day pass to make it an even more convenient experience. Just #TummocIt

We know that Indiranagar doesn’t have the most budget-friendly options. Would you like us to make a budget-friendly guide to exploring Indiranagar? Let us know in the comments or give us a shoutout on social media.
